Spikeball or Roundnet?
The sport itself was created in 1989 and was called Roundnet. It was primarily inspired on the concepts of volleyball. In 2008 the sport became very popular because of Chris Ruder, CEO of Spikeball Inc. The company is the main manufacturer of the materials used to play the game and because of that the game is commonly mentioned as Spikeball.
We use both terms interchangeably.
